Women's Institute in nakedness row! A scandal has erupted in the West Midlands and it is no surprise that once again the Women's Institute is at the heart of it. In an unprecedented break with tradition the Solihull branch of the Women's Institute has taken the radical decision to remain fully clothed in this year's fundraising calendar. A source from the group spoke to The Rag to explain the decision, on the basis of strict anonymity. Mrs Mary Hinge, of Bracket Way, Solihull said: 'We really took this step as we are convinced that people are bored with the 'nipples hidden by jam' approach. By keeping our clothes on, we think we can shock local people enough that they just have to buy one of our calendars.' Dame Judy Escariot, MBE, CBE, CIC, the President of the WI, was quick to denounce the plans. 'We in the WI have a proud history of getting our kit off to extort money from frightened villagers and it is a tradition we are not going to lose without a fight,' she said.
