Royal Cat Shooting - Latest results

The annual Windsor Family Cat Shoot has taken place in Tiverton this weekend and there were a few surprise results. As expected, the Duke of Edinburgh won the event setting a new record of 14 cats shot in a five-minute period.

Shockingly, however, the Queen failed to finish in the medals for the first time since 1981, when her piles prevented her from performing to her usual high standard. Ironically, that was the same year that the Queen Mother scored a shock victory despite being pissed on expensive gin and continually trying to cop a feel of Princess Margaret's latest squeeze. There are concerns that Her Majesty's recent lack of form may cost her dear at the European Royalty Cat Shooting Open, to be held in Belgium in June.

Prince Charles yet again failed to attend the event, citing moral objections. In a statement released by Clarence House yesterday afternoon, he said: 'Chasing foxes for miles before ripping them to pieces with vicious hounds is one thing but the idea of shooting cats for sport is beyond the pale. I shall continue to make my feelings on the matter known when I go to mummy's for tea on Tuesday.'

Zara Phillips continued her improvement, finishing second, while Prince Harry showed that his expensive training and needless deployment to Afghanistan have not been in vain when finishing a creditable third.
